Don't Let Your Actions Destroy Someone Else's Life
This post is a few months older than I would have wanted it to be, but I'm posting it now, so that doesn't really matter. In the following video, it shows us how only one female journalist ruined a family's life by simply saying a few words. This Korean family was a happy one, they didn't have a single worry or doubt in their minds. However, one day, the father of the family went missing when his firefighter squad were almost all killed in a massive fire. Without investigating anything, reporters fled to the family and asked about his whereabouts - all assuming that the father had run away from the fire. By doing these actions, this pushed to mother and the younger son to commit suicide by jumping of a cliff (the younger son managed to survive). This led the elder brother to loathe reporters. After 10 years, the brothers had started to live their life normally again. However, the body of their father had been discovered only a few feet away from the original fire's location. He had died from an explosion (that was caused by a fire) while trying to save the life of a small child. The lies of one particular female journalist had made the whole nation believe their father was a traitor, instead of a hero for a whole ten years.
This is a story of fiction, and any relation to anybody, alive or deceased, is purely coincidental. But this still gives us a true message:
No matter what or who it's for, never let your actions or words destroy what someone holds dear.
This is kind of why I want to be a journalist; to tell the real stories, and maybe change how journalism today is (I would be lucky if I could do that). Journalists can be so pushy when after a story (see the channel four interview with Robert Downey Jr. for the Age of Ultron press tour), and I really think that's crap. Great message Eve <3
Yeah, journalists should be made to tell the truth and only tell the truth. Don't create stories that haven't happened and post it to the public. That's awful, and no one needs hassle when an event like that happens. That's why I'm expecting great things from you, Eve! I look forward to your stories! :) Lara x
that Kdrama was beautiful! *-*
